Alpha Governance

The Alpha Governance phase will be launched on Millicent One’s public testnet to enable the community to participate in discussions and vote on the structure of the Millicent DAO as well as the Millicent One token and governance systems before they are launched, creating meaningfully decentralized governance even before mainnet launch.

Early participants on Millicent One’s public testnet will be granted DENARIUS a testnet token used to power Alpha Governance and track testnet participation. Millicent One’s native identity layer will help to protect both the testnet and the Alpha Governance stage from actors seeking to game the system through sybil attacks.

Launching Alpha Governance via a testnet program based on participation allows those who have spent the most time with their hands on the protocol to decide the network’s future.
